Our Utilities arm, Naditech Utilities Sdn Bhd, is a proven designer, builder and operator of District Cooling Systems (DCS) and Electricity Distribution Systems (EDS).
Through the utilisation of Thermal Energy Storage (TES), our DCS distributes cooling energy in the form of chilled water from a central source to multiple buildings through a network of underground pipes for use in space and process cooling. This innovative solution aids building owners in improving space utilisation and optimising overall electricity usage.
In 2017, Gagasan Nadi Cergas secured a license from the Energy Commission to independently distribute electricity, thus paving the path for the Group to become one of the elite utility service providers within the nation. With a steadfast commitment for a sustainable future, our team aims to play our part to achieve this goal by delivering and operating a 21st century EDS by adopting the state-of-the-art smart metering system.
PORTFOLIO OF COMPLETED UTILITIES PROJECTS
District Cooling System (DCS) - German-Malaysian Institute, Bangi
The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) in Bangi features a District Cooling System (DCS) consisting of a TES tank with a storage capacity of 17,000 RTh and related facilities, which was designed and built by Gagasan Nadi Cergas.
Through a 20-year contract from MARA, the Group is also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the DCS until 2028.
The DCS involves the production and distribution of chilled water to multiple buildings through a network of insulated underground pipelines. The multiple benefits of DCS for building owners include optimising electricity consumption, lowering CO2 emissions, reducing pollution, enabling air-conditioning provided from a sustainable source, decreasing maintenance and operating costs for users, and increasing overall reliability.

District Cooling System (DCS) of a Shopping Mall & Electricity Distributor - Datum Jelatek Development
Shopping Mall
Gagasan Nadi Cergas secured a 30-year chilled water supply agreement to build, own, operate and transfer a district cooling system and the supply of chilled water to the proposed shopping mall at the Datum Jelatek development.
The supply of chilled water is expected to commence by 2019 upon completion of the Datum Jelatek development. Gagasan Nadi Cergas is responsible for the operation of the district cooling system including the TES tank.

Electricity Distributor
Gagasan Nadi Cergas secured a 30-year electricity supply agreement to supply electricity to the Datum Jelatek development.
In July 2018, we were conferred a licence issued by the Energy Commission, known as a license of public installation. The license allows us to use, work or operate an electricity distribution network for supply of electricity to consumers at Datum Jelatek.
The installation of the EDS is expected to commence in the first half of 2019, upon the completion of the Datum Jelatek development.
The EDS primarily involves distributing electricity from the high voltage TNB grid to commercial and domestic users.
